The Most Shocking Crimes In Rock History
A few misdemeanors here and there are occupational hazards for anyone living a true rock and roll lifestyle, but some musicians take things to a whole different level.
While it’s one thing to be arrested for making an obscene gesture onstage or brawling at a bar after a show, it’s another entirely to try and arrange a murder — which is what AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd was recently charged with (and he isn’t even the first notable rock star accused of that crime this year).
And even though the murder-for-hire charges have been dropped due to insufficient evidence — though he still faces charges of “threatening to kill” — Rudd’s arrest prompted us to take a look back at some of the more outlandish and serious crimes that rock performers have been accused of committing and, although the first couple on this list are admittedly a little funny, the crimes at the top are no joke.
